Where it began
Professional Training
Years of facilitating learning experiences helped shape the belief behind all of this: meaningful growth often starts with better conversation.
The story of The Unscripted Room, and the host behind the table.
Our story
The Unscripted Room grew out of years of work around learning, personal development and human connection.
Again and again, that work pointed to the same idea: meaningful growth often happens when people have space to listen, speak honestly and consider perspectives beyond their own.
Those spaces are harder to find than they should be. Most conversations are rushed, rehearsed or built around winning a point.
The Unscripted Room was created to make space for the other kind: real people with different lived experiences, sitting around one table, following questions with curiosity instead of a script.

The bigger picture
The Unscripted Room is one part of a bigger idea: creating more opportunities for people to learn, connect and grow through meaningful conversation.

Meet the host

Brett has spent most of his career in rooms full of people learning something new. Over the past decade, through CCS, the company he founded, he has led thousands of hours of coaching, training and facilitated learning for professionals.
He knows, professionally and personally, how lonely it can feel to be stuck with only your own point of view. What has pulled him out of it, again and again, is an honest conversation, whether through his work, as a father, in his relationships or in the things he loves to do.
That's why he believes everyone knows something worth hearing, and deserves a respectful conversation to share it.
At The Unscripted Room, his job isn't to have the answers. It's to ask good questions, listen closely and make room for each guest to say what they actually think.
He sees the podcast as a first step toward something bigger: helping people build a more curious mindset and, if it stays true to its values, growing a community of thoughtful people working toward better outcomes for themselves and each other.
Behind the conversations
The conversations in The Unscripted Room are inspired by ideas we all encounter in life: things like empathy, balance, honesty, resilience and self-awareness. They help us find interesting questions to explore, not tell anyone what to think.
Conversation principles
Good conversations need room for different perspectives. These three principles help create that room.
We listen and speak from lived experience. Our focus is understanding truth through the richness of differing perspectives.
Equality is expressed through how we listen and how we learn from the wisdom in the room.
Our goal isn't to win. It's to understand. When we drift, we pause and return to curiosity.
